Neuroanatomy Lab
- Course creator: Dr. Rebecca Zoltoski
- Assisting Teacher: Dr. Barclay Bakkum
- Assisting Teacher: Dr. Ruth Trachimowicz
The neuroanatomy lab is intended to expand your understanding of the additional surface structures and detailed internal anatomy of the brain, as well as the neuroanatomical relationships that are responsible for certain activities and behaviours. The hands on approach will help you build the bigger picture, which can be difficult to do in a lecture setting. While in your scheduled lab, take advantage of the time and instructors that are available to you. The format of the laboratory is self-guided and allows the student to proceed at his or her own pace, with assistance as needed. You will be using models and pictures of brains and sections in the lab to identify structures. There are several types of models and pictures that are available to you. Learn to use them all to help you build that mental picture.
